...fitted to some motorcycles? I need to interrupt an air line, in connection with a vented loop on a boat, and was wondering if these valves perform that function? Are they normally open and close off when energised, or vice-versa? And what voltage are they? Over to you, AB'ers, and thanks in advance.

This type of air valve is fitted to some petrol car inlet manifolds and open when the car is turned off to introduce air into the manifold to stop the engine from "running on". When the car is turned on a 12v supply closes them.

Thanks, Graham-W, If that's the case it will serve my purpose. I haven't seen any on e-Bay relating to cars, but there's dozens for bikes, I presume they perform the same function?
