Has anybody noticed whenever man utd gloryhunters write to the media, IE Skytext / Newspapers etc, They always begin with...."As a man utd fan" blah, blah, blah, As if it gives them some credence to let everybody know they "support" them, Every genuine footy fan knows that they are the most despised "fans" in football

I dont really support any team apart from England but I've heard this arguement repeated many time over the years and I don't know why but Man U are like Marmite people either love them with a great passion or loathe them, there's no middle ground, thats just the way it is
traped which room did you go in ?
us Man Utd fans love to be hated! thats part and parcel of being a Man Utd fan, (AND) do people no realise this yet wake up people we love to be hated,
As much as were hated were also loved worldwide too, love us or hate your always talking about us, Hmmm maybe some closet reds amongst you, ;-)
Used all of them
Heald Place and the winger was Roy "Nobby" Clarke. He had a shop under the Gaumont Cinema in Wilmslow Road just after Platt Lane. I lives with my grandparents for a while who lived in Platt View, just off Platt Lane. This must have been around the early fifties. We used to play in Platt Fields, but I think it has all changed now.
Androcles are you not in manchester anymore ? if you read my posts again you will see that i said i know roy well.
there never was a gaumont picture house in the rusholme area, when i mentioned dicky road and the casino i was referring to dickenson road where it joins wilmslow road.
roy had a shop at that junction near to the casino picture house. it will be before this that he had a shop a little further down wilmslow road ( about 100 yards away ) near to the trocadero picture house.
will try and put a picture of his shop up.

the casino picture house burnt down in the early sixties, please see my two links
to see the names of picture houses under the rusholme area.

my sisters went to heald place, when the eldest left the headmaster was mr gartside, that was early 50's, she left there and went to whalley range grammar

platt view was off taylor street have had a few pints in the rusholme working mens club near there.

should have said knew roy well
I don't particularly hate Man U, but I do think that Sir Alex is one of the most underachieving managers in England. Couldn't win a thing when he arrived, and just as they were considering replacing him, off field activity gave him so much money to spend on players that even he couldn't fail domestically. 23 years he has been there, with Man U the richest club in the world for over half of those years, and they have been European champions just twice. Once with two goals in injury time and once after a penalty shoot out. Nottingham Forest won their second European Cup a mere four years after Peter Taylor joined Brian Clough at a club in what is now the Championship. 23 years of moaing about referees even when the replay shows they were perfectly correct, 23 years of childish 'mind games' and six years of refusing to talk to BBC Sport because of a programme that was nothing to do with them. I wish he'd grow up. Rant over.
when they won the treble most of the players were from the youth squad

so much for buying the players ?

city have spent how much ? top 4 finnish ?
the head teacher was mr garland not mr gartside
