What were the songs that our beloved leader chose to take with him on that mythical desert island (if only)? The BBC no longer has the list on its website and Google couldn't help, Any Blair groupies out there who hang on his every word?

The grinning fool did choose a guitar as his luxury object...maybe he coud garrot himself with the G string, and his book was Ivanhoe.
Anyways trawling through the net I found this much out:

Ezio were two of his picks - And because PM Tony Blair has chosen two of their songs ('Cancel Today' and '30 And Confused' of the "Black Boots On Latin Feet" album) for his 'desert island' disc selection.

...and though it doesn't narrow it down to individual tracks this from the Beeb's website...Mr Blair's musical tastes are well-documented, with his choices for BBC Radio 4 programme Desert Island Discs including bands from the 1960s and 1970s, the Beatles and Free, as well as classical composer Claude Debussy.

I bet he didn't ask for PURPLE RAIN by Prince!!
....also...When on 'Desert Island Discs', Tony Blair picked N-trance's version of 'Stayin' Alive' as one of his choices.

The Free track was All Right Now.

The eight tracks - in the order in which they were played - Cancel Today by Ezio, Clair de Lune by Debussy, In My Life by The Beatles, 4th of July, Asbury Park (Sandy) by Bruce Springsteen, Adagio for Strings, op 11, by Samuel Barber, Cross Road Blues by Robert Johnson, Wishing Well by Free and Recuerdos de la Alhambra by Francisco Tarrega and performed by John Williams.
