I came home to find a leaflet saying my MP had stopped by for a chat.

Oh yes you did - didn't you? Have you got plenty of babies for him to kiss when he comes round again?
You will not see him again for another 5 years, just before the next Election so open the curtains ! ;-)
If I open the door by mistake, I just say 'Sorry the lady of the house is out, I'm the cleaner'
I just get OH to answer the door - I really can't be @rsed to talk to any of them!
I got a letter from my MP inviting me to a coffee morning.
if you see him/her ask what questions you should ask
Tell him you're voting either BNP or Respect. You haven't decided yet lol
Her indoors was pa to an mp for some time so loves getting them on the doorstep and asking them questions they don't want to answer.... Funny thing is when I asked her who she liked out of the politicians she met her three favourites were Norman Tebbitt, Alan Clarke and John Major all three of whom she said were lovely men polite and helpful. Funnily enough my late MIL was a member of the labour party in Finchley but had met Mrs T a few times at local events and said she was really pleasant too.....My ex husband liked Michael portillo but then his only demonstration of good taste was marrying me....
What The Funicular? i just googled to see who my MP is, and the government website tells me that there are NO MP's at present, due to the forthcoming election! Looks like we will have to run the country ourselves for the week - anyone offering to do the top job?
I'm in - No tax this week
I live in a flat, so they can't get at me !!

But I'd say ...

To a trot ...

You won't increase the IHT threshold ... so fcuk off and die (or whatever).

To a LibDem ...

You won't increase the IHT threshold enough ... so fcuk off and die (or whatever).

To a Tory ...

If you promise, absolutely, unequaivacally, truly, definitely, positively, cross your heart, that you really, really, really are going to increase the IHT threshold to £1m, like you've said, then come in for a cup of tea. If not, then, fcuk off and die (etc)
That's the way JJ ! lol You would make a great Politiian....
Yes, I would.
