Begonia changing colour

My mother was given a Begonia house plant that was a beautiful red colour, it is still very healthy but the flowers are now yellow...or mostly yellow. Is it normal for these plants to change colour?

Don't know about begonias, but the colours of hydrangers can be affected by the acidity of the soil they are in, perhaps begonias are the same
