BNP leader Nick Griffin was interviewed this morning by LBC radio.presenter Nick Ferrari, and although I like Nick Ferrari, Griffin made him look a complete fool.

Apart from the fact that I thought at election time there should be complete impartiality, this did not come across on the show, Nick Ferrari, bullied and belittled Nick Griffin.

He tried to back Griffin in a corner over the point of being English or British. Ferrari lead by saying, "suppose a tiny little baby was born to a black mother who had herself been born in England, would that baby be English" Griffin said no it would be British, but not English just as a white baby born in India or Africa would not be Indian or African.

When Ferrari opened up the telephone lines, it was amazing that a number of black and Asian callers, agreed with Nick Griffin, that they would be British but not English.

I like to classify myself as British by birth but English by the grace of God.
Passports dont say 'English' ?
British aught to mean a connection to Great Britain, the island.

Please don't take this as an insult for that is not my intention. You Brits have got to do something dramatic. It is really sad.

To be brutally honest, the island is the only thing Great that is left of Britain. Nobody, least of all anyone from the Commonwealth countries or the former British Empire has the slightest respect left for anything British.

I look forward to the day we in Australia remove the embarrassment of having the Union Jack as part of our own flag. Once the old farts die out here it will definitely happen.

Pity help you at least achieve a modicum of mediocrity in you coming election.

Please think about what happened to your dignity and DO something.

"Once the old farts die out here it will definitely happen."

Well if using a delightful expression like that to descibe your elderly people is the norm in Australia, I think I'll be glad when you lose the Union Jack.
We're european - that used to mean 'white' race ?
How very dare you tambo.......I'm Yorkshire and nothing like the French or Italians!!

Funnily enough my father was a Shetlander and used to say he was british, but vehemently denied being scottish.
My Great, Great Grandfather was born in France in 1835 to English parents. His father was working there. After the family returned to England around 1842 he was recorded on subsequent censuses as "British Subject born in France".
People who were born in Germany when Forces parents were stationed there have dual nationality. Does that not happen any longer?
I suspect that I am descended from the Vikings or possibly Anglo-Saxons.
Will I get deported?
