the count of montecristo?
Sounds right, Jim Caviezel  and Guy Pearce are in the most recent filmed version of the Alexander Dumas classic novel but it has been filmed by Hollywood several times, I think Stewart Grainger did one, or was that the Scarlet Pimpernel and James Mason was in The Count of Monte Cristo, I'll have to get my Halliwells out!  I think Richard Chamberlain did Cristo too, but that could have been The Man In The Iron mask.  I am confusing myself now!
actually the only one in my 2002 Halliwells bible is a 1934 version with Robert Donat playing Edmund Dantes the Count, maybe the other versions I think I have seen were made for TV.
