Hi I wonder if someone would be able to help me.
My husband is disabled and I'm his registered Carer. We have 2 daughters, 18 and 13.
The 18 year old is currently studying for her A levels and is hoping to go to Uni later this year but in the mean time she would like to get a little part-time job.

My question is - How many hours / How much can she earn before it has a big impact on our benefits.
We get Income Support, full Housing and Council tax benefit and I get Carers.

She wants to work and we want to help and encourage her.

Thankyou

I'm not sure but at 18 she's an adult now. As long as you are not claiming any money for her or receiving any money from her I don't think it will make a difference to you.

Your best bet is to phone the benefits office and they will give you an accurate answer.
Can only comment on the Carers Allowance, and the earnings limit from 12/4/10 has increased to £100pw..this figure is not the same as the other benefits though...so please call them to find out their rules.
