Gynaecology Appointment

I am soon to attend a gynaecology appointment at my local hospital as I am undergoing investigations to see if I have endometriosis. I will probably have my period when I go. Will this affect any internal exam I may have? i.e will they do one if I'm menstruating?

Anyone got any experience of this?

Ring and ask if you can rebook, they will not examine you whilst you are having your period.
or if you take the pill, run two packs together to avoid menses...x
