Toliet Roll Sizes,do they vary?

We have recently bough a new toilet set,small pedal bin,toilet brush & holder,and a spare toilet rolls holder.
They are made by Allitex,which I believe us a contienatal company.
The toilet roll holder holds 2 UK size toilet rolls,with space for about half another UK roll.
I presume therefore that continental toilet rolls are narrower than ours,so that 3 would fit into our new holder.
If memory serves me right,I seem to think that they WERE narrower when travelling abroad.
Any thoughts on this please,

If you were to buy loo rolls from Aldi or Lidl this might solve the problem

I find a finger and a wire brush do quite well enough. : )

That's a whole lifetime of looroll that could double up as blankets in winter! Lol.
