I think I understand your question so here goes Caithness- Highlands and Islands Highland - H & I Orkney - H & I Sutherland - H & I Borders - Lothian Borders and Fife Central Scotland - Big area so could be Glasgow or Forth valley Dumfries & Galloway - South and West Fife - North and East Grampian - North and East lanarkshire - Glasgow and North Clyde Lothian - Lothian Borders and Forth Valley Strathclyde - South and West Tayside - North and East Strange question and dubious categories since Strathclyde also covers some islands and all of Glasgow Hope this helps though
I answered your question as a list but has come out all wrong and no punctuation. Hope you can understand ok

Thanks to kendunlop for his answer. I fell in to the same trap with my lists all merging. After a bit of deciphering I was left with only Central Scotland with a questionmark. I opted for Glasgow as it is probably the more populous. Thanks again for your help
