Sqad. I had lung surgery on my right lung 4 weeks ago for biopsy. I have cancer in left lung and am awaiting lobectomy.. What I would like to know is how long does it take to get over this kind of surgery, I am still experiencing pain after 4 weeks and have had to take codeine again.

jack...no set period of time and you will have to take pain killers until you have your lobectomy. Just remember that a biopsy only takes a small piece, leaving the main tumour mass in place to give you the pain.

Keep us informed eh?

Thank you sqad was supposed to have lobectomy two weeks ago but biopsy results slow in coming through. Dont think I could have coped with two lung operations so close to each other. Very painful procedures.
