evening all,
all day my laptop has been playing up, can anyone help please?
whatever im trying to do is slow and 'delayed' -
i try to type and the curser sticks and then a few seconds later the letters ive typed then all show up.
i try to scroll down a page it sticks and then whizzes past where i want to go because ive tapped too much because of the sticking,
everything i do is slow, sticking and delayed grrrrr,
ive tried turning the laptop off and back on,
ive turned the router off and on again,
ive ran a malwarebytes scan and that comes up as clear.
what else can i do please?
its not an old lappy, 9 months old and runs on vista.
thank you for any help or suggestions x
Firefox is your browser now....dont touch aol or any other you have as you will start another conflict or virus. When baloons show for updates etc just close & ignore them.
Switch off your pc for Firefox to be effective....count 20 & on again. be back soon.
sorry, but all this is new to me, ive only used the aol software for the past 12 years, thats all im familiar with, so im a bit confuddled!
so, what about all my favourites in aol? how do i access them?
how do i write and access my emails now?
what about all my stored old and new emails that are in aol
do i still get alerts when a new email arrives?
does firefox store mails that have been sent and received?
ok lol .... oh dear, i feel out me depth now, i dont feel i know what im doing (now theres a surprise lol) i was so comfy and at home over on aol lol .. i knew where everything was - it was so easy ...
so, are you able to help me with the questions about emails please?

your emails are still with aol......type aol at google, top right & collect your mail. Visit all your usual sites that way till you have logged them in Bookmarks.
If you get pop-ups for updates - ignore them for now.
no, dont let aol run simultaneously, as it will corrupt firefox. Just bookmark for now. You can open two Firefox windows with one showing your email page and t'other FB/AB/whatever etc.
riiiight then lol, im sailing solo now then ... here goessss ... wish me luck!?!
thanks for your time and patience tonight tamborine, much appreciated,
and if ever i can return the favour, please feel free to pop along anytime - the door is always open :o)
a quickie....I have a file on my desktop called Icons. All downloaded programs are kept in there for easy access ie Adobe/bluetooth/acrobat/Firefox setup etc. If Ffox gets corrupted I go to the icon file & download again over the corruption to clear it.
