Another parasitic wasp?

ok, here's another one we we would appreciate help identifying. Black with yellow stripes. 25mm long, maybe 30mm.. 3-4 mm thick. Photographed on a thistle here.

Only a quick look Fern but it does appear to be a Sand-tailed Digger Wasp. Another very similar one is the Slender-bodied Digger Wasp. Both occur throughout the British Isles and build their nests in sandy places such as dunes,heaths and grassy banks.

Thanks Cetti. I think we cracked it as Amblyteles armatorius (an Ichneumon wasp). My mate who is taking the photos sent me one of the 'rejects', and the yellow spot is clearly seen (albeit out of focus).

I do have my own site, but it's virtually empty now. I'm only using it for putting temp photo's on. The Paisley one's nothing to do with me. It's just where I found the beastie we were looking for. The site I'm getting identifications for is here:
