trouble is these youngsters have disposable time on their hands to fritter hours away on xbox live, often in their bedrooms away from the watchful eyes of parents. We tend not to view xbox live as dangerous as the internet and in some respects it isnt; but there still is the propensity for naive kids to give away personal information.

I tend to only play online with friends from work etc. due to the reasons you mention. I dont own MW2 but I imagine it to be a nightmare as its the new big thing and everyones on there. I own COD4 and thats bad enough!
My 12 year old son plays MW2 but does so from the lounge where I can see and hear what he is up to, he is a very mature and responsible player who doesn't cheat or hack like some of the so called adult players.
a lot of my friends on xbox live are young American's + they have the worst potty mouth's EVER! and yeah they all have MW2 + GTA IV, their parent's don't seem to care. I don't go on the xbox until both my Daughters (too young for xbox) are snuggled up in bed incase of any *ahem* phrases being picked up. lol
