Hi
I'm having a family get together and thinking of doing a hot buffet eg lasagne, chilli, curry, rice, crusty bread, salad and a couple of desserts. Any ideas on quantities? It's lunch by the way. Many thanks, Soo

Prepare 3 example dishes for one person. One for starter, one for main and one for dessert. Multiply those amounts by the number of guests.
If you're having 3 mains (lasagne, chilli and curry) I'd make each for 12 persons (half the number of guests). If you're having 4 mains, I'd make each for 10 persons. As for desserts, I'd go for 3 instead of 2 (fruit salad always goes down well) and make each for 12. Any leftovers can go in the freezer or maybe to an older relative for their next meal.
