You can buy a piece of software called 'DVD To iPod Converter' from Daniusoft.

It costs $29, and you can find out more about it from:

http://www.daniusoft.com/dvd-to-ipod.html

I'd try and use Handbrake if possible.

http://handbrake.fr/

It's free, and works with Windows and Mac OS X.

The Mac version came first and still works better, but the Windows version is usable.

You may have to use a program like AnyDVD to rip the DVD to your drive first, removing copy protection.
You just need to convert your DVD movie or video to mp4 video, and then you can drag the mp4 video into your iTunes library. Plug in your iPod to computer, iTunes will detect the iPod automatically, then click iTunes menu "File -> Sync iPod", that's all. If you need details, here is a step by step guide would help you a lot, it's easy to understand and works pretty well for me

You can use this dvd to ipod converter:
http://www.tipard.com...o-ipod-converter.html
It can easily convert DVD to MP4, H.264 video formats and audio MP3, M4A and AAC without any loss quality of sound and image.
It also has strong editing functions of video trimming, video cropping, video joinning and video effecting. You can also capture your favorite pictures when you preview.
It is easy to use. Just few clicks are OK.
Step 1: Add DVD
Step 2: set the output settings.
Step 3: click "start" to convert
Hope it helpful for you.
