If so was there something in wrong with Spain or was it personal reasons that you left. Is there any bits of advice you would give to someone thinking of moving out there permanently apart from all the obvious land snatching that has been going on for some time and problems with some land leases.

Why avoid the Ex Pats? They can't all be choleric Mail reading bigots?
Grow Lantanas and learn to play Pool and you will do just fine :-)
redman.....snooker...........snooker.
sandy-Wroe........sorry ...just seen your comment.

Why Ex Pats ( mainly British)...they tend to congregate in groups, they all speak in "posh" accent, they all knock UK (sometimes with justification). the never try to integrate ( remember the complaint UK folks have re. immigrants), they all talk about how much money the have and they refuse to learn the language.

This is, as you might expect from sqad, a gross generalisation of the situation. LOL
I cant bleeding wait to get out there permanently.Lifes a gamble wherever you live and i would rather live in our townhouse in the sunshine in Spain than this hellhole I currently live in where the junkies rule.I know you get junkies everywhere but its rampant here.

O and I have cause to go to a clinic as my ear drum burst during the night once across the attention was second to none.

O and Spain isnt expensive foodwise or wine wise for that matter and that is a fact.

Think ive covered everything -o apart from our Council Tax being 181€ per annum for the 2 of us as opposed to £140 here per month.

Hold me back !!!
Sorry eyeshade, I didn't realise you'd posted after me.

Sqad is perfectly correct about the British expats. They can't be arsed to learn the lingo, they only mix with their own, they are the only ones who cause trouble and they are a backstabbing bunch. We got sick of the village we first lived in which was like little Britain in the mountains, and we moved to get away from them. Best thing we ever did.
