MM Links Solutions February 2010 [Week 2]

May I begin by wishing you “A Happy Valentine’s Day”? I guess it was many moons’ ago when we lot sent a card anonymously to a secret love ~ however the gesture is there! This week, “Prince Philip” (aka centrino) went “Back to Basics” with the following Links:

Grass SNAKE
Root CROP
CLAW Hammer
SEED Drill

As a result, the points began to flow as promised. I suspect that the points would have been doubled had ‘Root Beer’ been on offer ~ but it was not to be! What a boozy lot you are!

A couple of the early birds were on song when roslyn marked off her SEED DRILL and Christiana wielded her CLAW HAMMER ~ each gaining TWO POINTS to get the ball rolling. By Entrant #8 (Aquagility) the floodgates opened and the next six players each picked up Two Points for early repeats of these two hits (tearinghair, Strix [again] and joto. However there was released a GRASS SNAKE from Pauline (welcome back) closely followed by Jools’ Grass Snake for TWO POINTS each!

With three hits up for grabs (and the clock denying bonus points) there was a string of single pointers with (jet lagged) slaney, (regular) jan1956, (newcomer) barb7771, (settling in) mirandasmum, (settled in) jobjockey, (Canadian) Mr Ont-ice, (another newcomer) kawakiri, (mighty) Magyar and (for once beating SHAZZA) ChrisHewat.

Special mention needs to go to (inspired) teacher1 and (new star on the horizon) middlestump, who each scored two delayed Hits for Two Points! However, everyone was eclipsed by patchett, who entered the contest towards the end as Entrant #42 with the last link of ROOT CROP together with her Claw Hammer and Seed Drill for FOUR massive points. She therefore stands unchallenged as HOT SHOT OF THE WEEK.

Only (newcomer) middlestump and (the irrepressible) Strix have picked up points on BOTH weeks so far! Now for the scores on the doors!

Can't believe it,me hot shot of the week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Many thanks for the scoring crofter.Can you believe I nearly put snake but my husband thought the grass skirt best,never mind VERY happy with three right.(Bet it won't happen again)See you all again next week end.

Yes Middlestump.

To put it simply:
The first person to guess any particular link gets 2 points
Anyone correctly guessing the same link within 2 minutes also gets 2 points.
Any later correct guesses for that link get just 1 point

Bonus points are also available for anyone getting a full house of 4 correct guesses.
