Hi, just wondering if anyone here knows where I can buy a dvd of the short story / horror film 'Whistle and I'll Come To You [my lad]' ? It was made in 1968 and stars Michael Hordern, based on the short story by M R James. I have tried the well known sites that I normally use, and apparently their is a copy available on Amazon...for £99.90!! Suprisingly, I don't want to pay this much(!) my price range is up to about £20, give or take. It appears to be very hard to come by. Thankyou very much for any help :D

I have had a Google for this for you and I think the best I can suggest is that you sign up for the free trial that Lovefilm are currently promoting as they appear to have a copy for rental. Obviously this wouldn't solve your problem of being able to buy the dvd, but would enable you to watch it - I don't know if that would suffice, but it's a starting point.
I think we got this through the BBC shop, along with the Stone Tape (remember that?). It is a BFI(British Film Institute) dvd, BFIVD517
