Went to Wightlink who seem to be the one for that route - not Red Funnel and Fishourne to Portsmouth 1 way on Sunday 4 at 12 noon was £17.50 for 1 passenger and cmotorcycle

Approx crossing time 40 min check in 30 mins before sailing

Hope this helps

Also tried directferries.co.uk but they quoted £21.15

okai thanks that helped alot:D
days and times will vary a lot, so you do need to check out the website.

www.wightlink.co.uk

for instance to take a car return varies from £58-£120 depending on time of year.

make sure you ask for some wedges for bike when you board or you may end up holding bike up for crossing.
