I saw a great film called Wrong Turn. It's a very low-key film based around a family on their way to a family's Christmas celebration - don't think it really made any kind of impact in the cinema, but I loved it. Watched it again recently with my boyfriend and it was still great.

Also, Dog Soldiers is great for tongue-in-cheek horror.

Creep is a good film...also, Dead man's shoes.
I enjoyed the recent Dawn of the Dead remake

Saw.

Creep is terrible, nothing happens, someone kills a few people, and thats it, there's hardly any story. dont get amityville horror, thats the most cliche film ever. i think the only one (that i've seen) that is good at the moment is white noise.
yes, Saw's not bad either. forgot about that one

dawn of the dead remake but also i think soozmac might be a bit wrong, i got confused over this the other week, it is "Dead End" with the family car journey at Xmas.

Wrong Turn is about the teenagers chased by inbreeding cannibals in the woods that is also a good film!

Jeepers Creepers 2 is a good giggle, a lot better than i imagined it would be.
you have got to be kidding !
I also saw Wrong Turn, and have got to say it's pretty good. Another good horror is 'The Hole'  though I think it was out about 3/4 years ago. Set in the school of my sisters'  friend (who is also an extra) and stars Thora Birch and Keira Knightley.

Thanks, Twiglet4frog, I thought that it was wrong when I was typing it, but didn't have time to Google it (since when was that a verb anyway?) to find out. Even when I tell people about it, I still get the name wrong.

I've actually seen Wrong Turn too, and it's crap!

Dead End is great, though.

i rented fear dot com and thought it was very scary (it has Stephen Rea in it and he's always worth a watch)

Saw, Hide and seek.

Not really a horror horror. But definatley recommend Butterfly Effect. Fantastic film.

If you can stand subtitled film or try and get in in english. Switchbalde Romance. Very Very gory.

Switchblade Romance. Sorry it is dark cannot see keyboard
