Weaning problems

My not so little one is now just over 7 months old and I tried for weeks to introduce him to solids. He finally started accepting pureed food just before Christmas and seemed to be doing well. However, since last week he has been refusing to eat his meals and just wants his Formula.

Has anyone else experienced problems with weaning and how have you dealt with it? I'm becoming concerned he may lose out on nutrients.

Thanks

My son didn't start on solids until he was more than a year old, he was a breast fed baby and my HV said that many breast fed babies are late with weaning. As your little one is formula fed that can't be the reason for him though. You should maybe speak to your HV to put your mind at rest but the little one will dome to no harm being fed purely on formula for the moment.
velvetee, have you thought about baby led weaning? give baby chunks of food to hold and see if he is interested.

Milk will do ok for now. Unless there is any cause to worry about solids, ie weight loss.
I agree with redcrx. My eldest son didnt eat solids until he was about 6 months. I just used to put small pieces of food in front of him and let him feel and play with it. As with all youngsters they will eventually put it in their mouth and once they get used to the new tastes and textures, they are usually fine.
