I am off to NYC in the summer and want to go bare legged for the week...I am REALLY pale and normally just slap a bit of fake tan for pale people...badly! I don't want to be worrying about it and wonder if anyone knows of either 1. a good streak free light self tan or 2. A good spray tan that will not render me orange!

The absolute best tan that I've found is the Loreal nutrisummer one. It comes in two different colours (light or dark so you can choose) and is one of the daily build up ones so you can have as many layers as you want, also makes it less likely to show any accidents!

Go for a "Fake Bake"

I've never managed to streak it yet, and it is the most natural colour I've found (and I've tried them all, salon tans, st tropez, fake bake, dove, johnsons, loreal, piz buin, the list goes on!)

Everyone Ive recommended it to is converted! It also doesn't have that nasty fake tan smell that most of them have!
I;d use the dove body glow for palen skin, moisturiser with the tanning thing in. Doesnt streek, doesnt smell. I found the johnsons one stinks and the nivea one is just really watery so falls off your skin before you can rub it in.

I always used Lancome and found that if you just apply a light layer, you just get a lovely sun-kissed glow.

Don't forget to exfoliate and moisturise lightly the night before the application of self-tanner.

Thanks guys...I don't really mind being pale and interesting but would like a bit of a glow on my revoltingly pale legs...just don't want to be two tone!
Try a proffesional, manually done by a therapist spray, I wouldnt personally recommend st.tropez as we used to use in in our salon, search sun labortories, e use this and its fab
