Does anybody know if an 8 hour battery is available yet for a laptop

i have an emachines laptop and was told by a mate that you can now get batteries for your laptop lasting up to 8 hours. if this is true, any ideas where i could get my hands on one?

You can get laptops with an 8 hour battery life, not just the batteries are very powerful but because the workings of the laptop are geared to use very little power.
Putting one of these batteries in your laptop would not do the same job at all.
Contact emachines and see if there is a better battery available for your machine.
