Laptop problem

I have a dell latitude laptop and when in battery mode the screen is really dull.
Does anyone know a way I can brighten this please

I wish I'd asked sooner have been struggling for months!

glad am some use - some of the time ;)

Your battery life will be dramatically reduced with the brightness turned up full (that's why the brightness was set lower when it's on battery)
