Jonathon Ross has finally done licence payers a favour and announced he is to quit the BBC.

Let's hope the BBC spends the £6M it will save every year one improving their programmes rather than hiring some other overpaid, over rated "Celebrity", but I won't hold my breath.

i agree, dont know how this salary can be justified
Hear,. hear, about time too!
Looks like he jumped before he was pushed.
As a general point I don't understand these large payments for presenting television or radio programmes.
Has it been proven that a significant number of people will watch(or listen to) a show purely on the basis of who is presenting it rather than the subject matter?
Scotsman, No it hasn't been proven but it is so because it has been rumoured that Graham Norton is taking over his spot and I for one won't be watching that. I did however watch and listen to Wossie. Maybe over paid but he will be greatly missed.
I expect he will pop up on another channel sooner or later.
Good luck Wossie.
