Hope someone can answer a few queries! Have just changed provider from aol although still using aol as a search engine but now entering internet via internet explorer.Am finding that using email is no problem with clicking on aol mail but when finished with email Iam logging out to be able to go to do a search on the internet as there is no x button .I was told to use the house icon buttin to refresh the page and was wondering if someone coudl tell me how to go about generally now with closing one page to go onto another.

Also I have a list of pages viewed which is fine but won't allow me to click on any previously viewed site to re look.Great it shows me the full web address but then Iam having to create more temporary internet files as having to re type in search each time.I do see on the bottom of the screen page Iam on but to close this Iam having to resort to right click and close as no x now.

Possibly this is me being silly but can't see how to do this simply. Thanks for all help.

you are now using a tabbed browser so you can have several pages open at once and switch between them, you have not got the x because if you only have a single tab open you can't close it.

login to your mail and while you are logged in press CTRL + T and it will open a new tab, you can then goto any address you want in the new tab and flick back to your mail tab at any time by clicking on the tab for it at the top of the screen.

you can open pretty much as many different tabs as you want and flick between them quickly.
