Australian film

About five years ago there was an Australian film shown on BBC2. It was about a few people wakening up to find that everyone else on earth had disappeared. The only thing that connected them was that they were all on the point of being killed or dying when everything changed. Can anybody name this film?

I remember this film too - it was called 'The Quiet Earth'. It wasn't Australian though, but in fact made in New Zealand.

Yes I remember it too. My wife remembers it for different reasons. Namely you get a very quick full frontal shot of him coming out of the swimming pool. Cenors must of blinked?
