No sorry just brute force and ignorance . But thin slices are easier than great thick wedges. The farmers use a machine like this http://mview.museum.v...s/mm/039/AB013136.JPG for chopping into animal feed.

I bought a V sliver from Asda (could be a JML product) and it cuts through the neep like a hot knife through butter :o)
