Hardly a "hanging offence" and I have done more stupid things in my youth.................and later.
Not a hanging offence no Sqad....But the bloke now has a criminal conviction which prevents him ever being called to the bar.Several years of legal studies down the drain when he could have just pad a £60 fine and gotten 3 points on his driving licence.
daffy...yes I suppose so.

kunni...he got caught...............that was the cardinal sin.

Young lad, stupid, as we all have been................leniency perhaps?
>Young lad, stupid, as we all have been................leniency perhaps?

He was not stupid. He did not just say "my mate was driving".

He spent time producing false documents and an elaborate plot to try to hoodwink the legal system.

Unfortunatly this is very common amongst some people in the Asian community.
His career is hardly in ruins. He may never be able to be called to the bar, but he will be able to complete his LLB (you can do that via OU, which you can do in prison) and as far as I'm aware he'll be able to practice as a solicitor eventually.

And racism my donkey! The lad was a complete prat and deserved everything he got.
Who's claimed racism in the story???

What race got to do with this?

I'm lost...
"Who's claimed racism in the story??? "
Errm, have you read the third (now second) reply?
nobody in the original story claimed racism, rojash; but ABers have been quick to realise that this is the most significant factor. See also the ninth-now-eighth post.
