Forgive me folks, I am going mad ....

I have from the Sat. xword: The Battle of Life, Cricket on the Hearth, A Christmas Carol & The Chimes

From Mon. (Herculas), I have: Tiny Tim, Trotty, Jeddler & Peerybingle

Does anyone know how to 'marry' these up as ''well known words or phrases'' ? ? ? ?

Saturday's preamble read:

The solutions to this crossword include the titles of four Christmas tales written by Dickens in the 1840s. They are highlighted in the clues and on the grid. Your challenge is to link each tale with a character to be found in Monday’s Herculis. Happy Christmas!"

They forgot to change Monday's to match this!!

tiny tim in a christmas carol.
trotty is in the chimes.
dr jeddler is in the battle of life.

MANY, MANY THNX for that folks ..... I obviously didn't 'dig' deep enough ....... but u are right Herculis should have been more specific !
