hi,
im posting this up in here in hope someone might see it and answer me quite quickly please
ok, im new to ebay, and have seen something on there that id like to buy for a christmas present.
the only thing is, its listed as a 'bid now' item (8 days)
ive messaged the seller asking if he can sell it me as a 'buy now' as id like it for christmas, but ive not heard back from him yet.

He can do it, but he doesn't have to. He'll want as much money as he can get for the item, and by letting the bidding run he is gambling. He could get a lot more or no bids at all.
He can change his listing to a Buy It Now.

If I get a message, I usually ask the seller to make an offer. If it is acceptable, I accept it, if it is a little low then I make them a counter offer or if it is far too low I politely decline.

I have tried this when buying things and have had some success and some people decline.
