Please_Sir: I'm so sorry you had to endure all the flak, i had left AB by that time. After reading through it all, i really think you need to get 'Harry Brown', It would be an idea for all the others to watch it as well, it's a movie that hit's home with a lot of people. Some people can be ignorant of 'how the other half lives' if you know what I mean. And I'm glad you did'nt let them Bully you, you gave as good as you got. Unfortuneatly, some people just pick the questions to pieces to start an argument on here. Keep up the advice for others!! ;o)

Your argument holds little water, either, shelby.............
"I'm poor, I live on a sink estate surrounded by drug user/dealers, therefore I have decided to be a thief................"

Yup, complete sense.

Please_sir was foolish enough to admit to stealing and was therefore rightly chastised for it. I take it you are looking for an argument, too ?
Ohhhh...
i got to the bottom of page 1 and lost interest.

there are far greater things to be concerned about today, such as making sure joe elderry gets to number 1 to keep that drivel that george michael mimed to back in the us.
Jack, it wasn't shelby that said that.

But as I said on that thread, it amazes me that people think it's fine to come on a web site and post a question that amounts to "I've stolen something, can someone tell me how to use it"

Would you walk into a pub and announce to everyone you've just robbed the local shop and expect to be patted on the back and congratulated by all?
That coming from a druggie...pmsl :-)

I'm hardcore me :)
I realise that, Chuck...........

It's the message implicit in shelby45's post. Comments about 'how the other half lives' and the film 'Harry Brown', etc..........

These gonks can't get their collective heads round the fact that it is theft pure and simple. They seem to think that because you couldn't produce an individual directly harmed by their crime, that there has been NO crime.
I think it's also a problem that people think that because there is no physical media they can hold in their hands they have commited no crime.

I'm sure most people would realise that stealing a DVD from a shop is wrong, but for some reason people can't seem to understand that stealing the contents of that DVD from the internet is exactly the same and just as wrong.

as for individuals directly harmed by their crime, maybe these people should have a little chat with the 10'000'+ people that have lost jobs in the music industry over the last few years!

Your leetle grey cells working away again, noknow ? :o)
Errrr we download films all the time. Should I feel guilty? Probably. Do I feel guilty? Hell no!

OK, in my original question, there was no reference to me 'boasting' about thieving. It was only that Doc enquired and i mentioned it. I do not live on a sink estate but I own a 4 bedroom house in a leafy suburb. I download from P2P sites because I can. Thief? yes, crime of the decade? No. It would be nice, for people to just answer a question posted on here instead of criticising the person, i see it all the time, why dont those people take up boxing to vent their own inadequate frustrations instead of taking it out on thieving basterds like me?
This post seems designed purely to cause arguments. Why didn't you just post on the original thread shelby?

Oh Lord!! I don't know!!
Well, we've established that you are a thief, then. And seeing as you are volunteering details about your affluent circumstances, you have less excuse for stealing than someone who lives on a sink estate.
Crime of the decade ? No............but crime, nonetheless.
If people come onto a public forum and willingly confess to breaking the law, why are they surprised when law-abiding folks jump on them ?

Is the view nice from that high-horse you are riding ?
