so far i have thought

there was once a teacher called mrs craig

and cant really write who had the plauge which is the only thing i can think that rhymes with it lol

thanks in advance cherry
My teacher is Mrs Craig
Her manner is very vague
Perhaps it's because
When she rode her horse
She managed to get the plague
limericks go the way guernseyman says: first two lines and the last line rhyme; so do lines 3 and 4, which are shorter. There aren't many rhymes for Craig, but maybe she could travel to The Hague because her reading of timetables was rather vague... but you don't have to make 'Craig' one of the rhyming words if you don't want to.

thanks guernseyman and jno ,your answers have helped loads
Mrs Craig is leaving today
No longer will she see us play
To pastures anew
We all say adieu
And hope we meet again one day

This is a quick limerick I drafted to give you a flavour of whats required. Ideally they could include aspects of her personality.
It is very common to let the first line end with a place name, in this case for instance the name of the town where your son goes to school (hope it isn't Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllanty
siliogogogoch)...
But it needn't be a town name, it could also be some other kind of place designation, like for instance "There once was a teacher up north", "There once was a teacher at school", "There once was a teacher in Kent" - and so on.
Sorry: Daughter.
