Gmail- Trouble sending attachments

Why won't my Gmail let me send attachments?

When i try to send a message with an attachment in it, an error message comes up saying "Oops..... the system was unable to perform your operation. Please try again in a few seconds" I leave it a few seconds but it still fails. Any idea why this is?

Hmmm, i don't have that problem. What internet speed do you have? How big are the attachments you're trying to send?

I am using 1.1Mbps Broadband and the size of the attachments are tiny, (10Kb word documents).
