I have some lovely brown leather boots - the other day I got caught in the rain, and had to leave my boots to dry out. There are now water marks in several places around the sole area - does anyone know how to remove these ? They're not cheap boots and were a present last year, so any help appreciated !

If they're water marks - sponge the whole boot and polish when dry. Equals it all up!
If you wore them last winter and the watermarks are white in colour and feel rough then it is possible the marks may have been caused by the salt/grit that is put down on roads and pavements. I rub a little vegetable oil on the marks when this happens to mine.
