As of this morning I cannot log onto the Google search engine. I get a message saying "Internet Exlplorer cannot display the webpage." I have XP and IE8. Any suggestions as to how I can fix this problem?

Is Google the only website you can't access, or do you have a problem with other websites as well?

Try 'Delete Browsing History" (tools menu) and type in www.google.co.uk manually.
Google is fine for me. I'm on Firefox.
Fine for me..I'm on chrome and firefox.
Open Control Panel. On Left of window klik on Help & Support, then system restore and choose an earlier date.

This will over-ride anything you downloaded inadvertently.

I'm having problems with this site too..............really, really slow. I did a system restore to a previous date, and that didn't solve it.
System restore has worked for me. Thanks x
wot have you downloaded or updated? If poss - try & download Mozilla Firefox
This has been very slow at times this evening. Have you tried accessing the google website using another browser? (you are allowed to have more than one installed on your system)

Perhaps I'll try Tamborine's advice and try Mozilla.
