Hey, long story short...im 23, 1 two year old child who i see weekly and support the best i can. Mother was a one night stand( being honest) in my second year of uni and work 37hrs+ per week. Questionable past..lots of women..dabbled with some recreational drugs but not to any serious extent. Have a nice flat/ car + money in the bank....girl in question is.....

19, gorgeous and has an identical twin sister. known her since she was 16 it was actually her twin who i spoke to initially then when my GF was seventeen we started going out. GF sister hates me with a passion..am actually sure she would kill me if she could get away with it. Their parents have heard about what i was like and even after two years of on/ off going out with my gf they have never met me. My GF and me see each other bout 3-4 times a week but this is two years ive been her secret. Last week she actually told them she was meeting me to play badminton..i dropped her off and when i spoke to her later she said her sister punched her?!?!? I think they have argued about me constantly and combined with hearing not great things...i.e child etc...it just seems like am banging my head off a brick wall.

Don't get me wrong, im usually the charmer and would normally be the one pulling the strings in a relationship...this just seems to be my achilles heel...im powerless to fix the situation but cant bring myself to finish with her..I love her, and she would be devastated,

Just thinkin out loud, not expecting anyone to understand my rabblings ha ha. Dunno what to do. Am i a fool for keeping it going when no one can even know about us..i dnt even tell my mum she must just think i cant keep a woman!

WTF? Grow a pair, tell all or leave her be... Jesus... You've got a kid and you've done some drugs... Whooo.. You little rebel you. Like I said, stand by her and tell everyone or leave her be and carry on. There's no real problem here.
eh?? you want to finish with your girlfriend because her family are arguing over you?

I feel offended for her!
forget the GFs etc concentrate on the 2y old - your life should now be driven by that responsibility.
Well, if her sister punched her there might be some jealousy in this. What happened between you and this twin sister? Has this sister got a steady boyfriend? There's nothing for you to hide from, why won't your girlfriend let you meet her parents? If you explained that in your student days you were silly in touching drugs having unprotected sex so have a child as a consequence but that you make sure he is cared for etc they might find you a responsible kind of guy.
Yea Tambo....Anyone with a kid shouldn't have a life...!!

Interesting viewpoint, im not some Jeremy Kyle show reject i support her financially and have her every week...although its a midweek night as i work weekends as at uni Mon- Fri.

With a wee re-read today of the self centred drivvle i posted im a bit embarrassed, im pretty sorted.

I met her twin first and we spoke for a bit but never went any further...they are identical and used to go everywhere together..i 'spose its hard for her when her sisters sneaking behind her back.
Thanks for the replies anyways im away back to wrk. :)
Her view point or my view point?

I was being sarcastic.

touché
is having a kid and having a life two separate issues? Silly me - I thought they were entwined.
Question Author
Yes of course they are entwined. And dnt take this the wrong way its great u read my post and as helpfull as ure advice was it didnt really answer my question..hence "dating section" i live not far from my daughter..and see her often and enjoy an amicable realtionship with her mother, however she has a new partner...didnt elaborate on this fact as it wasnt really relevant.

I may as well drop out of uni, quit my two jobs, write off my car and sell my flat and live in a tent outside her house. JJ

Thanx again.
that's wot you can't do, Cpt as a tot depends on you.....whether with a step-father or not. Step-fathers come & go but biological fathers dont.

Tamborine, your stance is admirable. I agree and Im well aware of this. hence the sarcasm.
if you cant enjoy a normal relationship with this girl then there aint much point to it. so end it i say
Any couple who love each other should be able to overcome objections to their union. Often it means breaking with the objectors! No loss for a couple happy with each other.

Maybe its time for you two to find a place for yourselves.
