This should be in chatterbank - but that's the whole point of the thread!!  the filter on the server on my works internet access has seen fit to ban the chatterbank section.  I've found 'side doors' to banned sites before but I'm having no joy at all with this.  Anyone any bright ideas as to how I can worm my way back in?

(Ed - please don't move this thread to chatterbank or I'll never be able to see the responses!!  thankyou :-) )

what a fussy filter. Could you perhaps see your questions and their answers via Questions I Have Asked, thus not actually going through the ChatterBank page?

Try an anonymous proxy like this one:

http://www.the-cloak.com/login.html

put www.theanswerbank.co.uk into the starting url box at the bottom where the http:// bit is and click "start surfing"

This is likely to circumvent your filter unless it's particularly smart

*DISCLAIMER*

Doing this may put you in breech of your companies security policy and all that it entails - Do not mouth off about this if it works your IT department is likely to take a dim view of this!

Thanks you guys but neither suggestion works - proxies are themselves a banned category!  God damn it...
Awwww Red, miss you on chatterbank :(

Thanks Boo - I miss it too!  I keep getting emails saying there are responses to my thread and i can't see it :-(

I don't know if this is of any use to you, but when using Mozilla Firefox I don't get the Adverts cagegory, so if I want to go on there I have to go on Internet Explorer.

Well, I'm using internet explorer, so I don't think so.  I think I'm destined to chat no longer, unfortunately.
