we call it cinder toffee x

Do you??? I call cinder toffee, toffee that has been made with black syrup (yuk!)
we call that bonfire toffee (or treacle toffee, which is chewier)

You may try this cashew recipe... It is easy to prepare and to cook. The recipe called, Colorful - Flavorful - Healthful. Hope you will like it...

4tsp sugar
2tblsp golden syrup
1 tsp baking soda
Put sugar and syrup in a pan, bring to the boil, boil for 8 minutes stirring occaisionally, remove from the heat and stir in the soda quickly unti it froths. pour into a well greased tin and cool, break up when cold and store in an air tight jar

Put sugar and syrup in a pan, bring to the boil , boil for 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, remove from the heat and stir in the soda quickly until it froths, pour into a well greased tin and cool. break up when cold and store in an airtight container. ps when broken up you can cover in melted chocolate, add mint essence or orange essence to the chocolate to give a different twist.
