"In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth."
If you believe the bible you'd accept that Earth wasn't the first thing he created.

naomi, it's a bit like pick a number but the mayan thing does play a part. Like, why stop the calender in 2012? Did they know something we don't?
I can remember, as a child, sitting on my school sports field, watching the clouds scud by, and waiting for the world to end, because some nutcase had predicted it. Well, it obviously didn't happen. I doubt all prophesies, from whatever source, and I'm not concerned about the doom predicted to coincide with the ending of the Mayan calendar ending in 2012 that's for sure. Who knows what the future holds? No one - so it isn't worth worrying about. We'll just have to wait and see.
Sorry - doubled up on my 'endings' there, but I'm sure you get my drift.

Ok then, meet you back here on 12/12/12.
Make it 21/12/12 and you\'re on! I\'ll bring the champagne! :o)
flob, "Does apocalypse mean end of the world specifically."

What it specifically means is "revelation" as in "of St J the D". So you'd better be expecting the Four Horsemen and the whole shooting match!
I'm not bringing champagne for that lot too!
