\'bus travel from Nottingham or Derby to Cambridge please.

I am looking to travel to Cambridge by \'bus, probably not till next March, but wondered which would be a good way to do it from Derby or Nottingham. I have tried Traveline, putting in a random date in October, but it comes up as being not-doable, or words to that effect. Hope someone can give me some ideas. Thanks in anticipation - Sovay
