I have a region 2dvd--If i use dvd decrypter and then burn the result using dvdshrink and nero to a new dvd will this play on a region 1 dvd player or would the player have to be multi region?--either that or does the new dvd have to be burned in ntsc format--or does dvddecrypter/dvdshrink sort all this out?--thanks for any help--cheers--arthur

Using Decrypter and Shrink will remove the region coding and give you an 'all regions' DVD

thanks heathfield--i do know that already and i have worked out an answer to my Q--simply using dvddecrypt and dvdshrink will make the disk region free but it will still not play in a non-region free player--so if the player is region 1 u either have to hack and enter a code to make it region free or burn the disk in ntsc format--this you can do before burning by editing any ifo files within the file list using ifoedit--cheers and thanks
