My sister, her boyfriend and son sold their house to a young couple about two months ago and both parties have their contracts to sign (I think my sister has signed hers) but the couple have had theirs two weeks now and nobody has heard anything. Their solicitor can't get in touch with them at all and my sister is getting worried that they may be thinking of pulling out (or already have done and can't be bothered to tell anyone). They aren't in a chain as the couple are first time buyers and my sister's are going to a newly built house so there shouldn't be a problem. The couple loved the house and were wanting to move as soon as possible. Has this happened to anybody else and is it normal for somebody to take so long?.

How do you know that the couple have had their contracts? Their solicitor mat be a right dozy so and so and they may have only just got them. actually it still ius very quick being sorted in 8 weeks, and so be patient for a while longer. they may be waiting for the 1st of the month as this is i think how their mortgage patment date falls.
