Does anyone know of a good online resource for finding out what old vinyls are worth? I've found quite a lot of online catalogues that you can buy or record shops which have records for sale, but I'd like to find a good site for genuine collectors as I have a few which I believe are 'first pressings' etc . .

I don't know of any sites but if you go into WH Smith etc you can buy a mag called Record Collector very good very informative.

How ever original first pressing may not be worth as much as you may hope.

If you have Please Please Me by the Beatles on the Parlaphone label you have a goldmine. If you have Fred Bloggs on bubblegum it would likely only have curiosity value.

Good Luck

Your best bet is to buy the new release of 'Rare Record Price Guide by Record Collector. It's brilliant if you have loads of old vinyl. Amazon are selling it for 26.00 or buy it from your local Borders store or Waterstones.
Also if you have any old dance vinyl check the site htfr.com (hard to find records).
Good Luck!
