Its stuff like this that makes us appreciate what we have. Had she been sick at all dot ?
omg that is scary, she must have had an underlying health problem, on the plus side (and there is not really a plus side to dying young) at least she died peacefully.

Nope, she worked yesterday I believe, she was the one who organised my leaving present at the beginning of August, she was so efficient, so totally organised, her daughter worked for one of the other concessions so we all knew her too. Absolute shock.

Imagine not knowing that that was your last day though, it's awful.
What a dreadful shock for you and eveyone who knew her.It will knock the stuffing out you right enough :(
so sorry to hear that sad news dot ,50 ...she was younger than me ,take care xxx
How very sad, at least she didn't suffer, if that is any consolation. Fifty is young, it does make one count one's blessings. You never know when your time is up though.
So sorry to hear that, dot. I guess it puts the petty squabbles on here into perspective. xxx
So sorry to hear that Dot.

It's always sad to hear of anyone dying, especially when very young.

My husband's Mum died when she was 44 years of age - the same age our eldest daughter is now.

Doesn't bear thinking about, so we should make the most of every day.....
Agree but I think to die is your sleep is how I'd like to go. It's a shock for everyone else though.
How sad :-(
My sisters neighbours son died like that, in his sleep on christmas day a few years back, he was only 10, an aneurysm so so awful, every year i think of them even tho i did'nt know them it knocks you sideways like you say Dot., sorry you lost your friend xxx
My sister Amy died on Christmas day 2005.

She had a heart attack in her sleep, whilst on holiday at her son's home in Spain.

I can't tell you what a terrible shock that was for our whole family.
that is so sad dot
So sorry dot. to hear of your sad news, its debatable what is the best way to fo, my hubby died of cancer a year ago today and I have a close friend who`s only 52 and in the terminal stages of the same dreaded disease, she is marvellous and has no regrets but its awful to watch the life seep away from someone.
Take care

Were you all due to go out tomorrow night dot ?
Question Author
