Hello took out a loan with Welcome Finance back in 07 and I signed for it on 6/12/07 and the witness for Welcome also signed it on the same date. However looking at it today I have noticed the Welcomes signature has been scribbled out and re singed by another Welcome person with the date of the 12/12/07 on.I dont know if this was done when I was there or after I left but was never pointed out....is this a legal document still?

if the paperwork has been in your possession then it can only have been done whilst you were there surely.

I doubt after all this time you can find a way of getting out of paying it back, if thats what youre looking for.

You don't actually need a witness for a loan so that in itself would not invalidate it.

If the other signature was on behalf of Welcome as them signing up to the contract, it still doesn't invalidate it.

It wasnt a matter of getting out of paying I was just curious as to why it had happend and who knows if it was done in my presence it may have been done out of the room and of course without my knowledge,i was after a reason for them doing it has it makes no sense. Thanks
call them and ask them. We are very unlikely to know how and why and where you were when it happened.

My apologies if i got the wrong impression from you asking if it was legal. It happens a lot on here that people ask that sort of thing when trying to get out of their obligations to pay.
