I dont pretend to know the answer and know that we have to eventually stop letting people into this country but we have to help them!

On this site a few weeks ago New Judge mentioned that the entire income tax take and NI take this year will just about cover the amount paid out in benefits.
We all pay a lot in tax - far too much in fact - to keep lazy workshy British people in the idleness to which they have become accustomed (or in most cases only ever known), and this really really gets up my nose.
Paying for our own lot of wastrels is one thing, but having to pay for a load of Abduls, Okawamabuttis or any other bloody third world dweller who sees the UK as a cash cow is just not fair.
They are in France - let the bloody French deal with them. I couldn't give a monkey's about the squalor they live in, in fact the worse the better as hopefully it will encourage them to naff off back home.

Jake is right, it is certainly the UK's fault that they are in their predicament, which is why I stick by my earlier solution. House them here. We need a new generation of workers, and ones who will breed much faster than those currently here so we get a new and booming country with loads more people paying loads more income tax. Fields are a waste of space when they can be replaced with shops and markets and sewage works.

I can't give you one piece of evidence, but it is a reasonable bet.
Can you give me one piece of evidence that if they did make it to these shores they would work or (more pertinently) if they did work it would be in employment that pays tax?
I'd welcome them with open arms - really - if they could demonstrate they would benefit this country by paying into the common pool, and I don't mean working in Uncle Abdul's Felafel shop for cash.

It's easy, just needs working through. We have, say, 300,000 Asian/Afghan/Iraqi/Somalian (etc etc) workers to enter Britain. They need somewhere to live, so maybe chop down Thetford Forest, or kick the disgusting MOD off Salisbury Plain, and set them building. At each weeks' end they will need payment, and this one is a little more difficult, but I suggest that a man from the council or the gumment turns up with loads of cash which they can then spend in all the local shops they will have built. No worries about staffing those shops, just ship the relatives in from Asia/Afghanistan/Somalia etc etc. Everybody will be so content that there will be no crime, no local resentment, it will all be lovely.
p.s. no need for sewage farms, just crap in the surrounding fields, the ones just outside the ones you have built on.

Eventually all these people who come here for hand outs the money one day will run out it has too!!

And another thing that makes my blood boil i got made redundant 10 weeks ago (having worked for 35 years) and was told i will only get 6 months job seekers allowance as i have not paid in enough n.insurance? you must be bloody joking 3/4 of the people when i have to sign on cant speak english and are getting everything they want like i said earlier this money will run out soon see them all go back to there former countries then!!!

What does surprise me though if I had posted a similar question but was completely opposite to The Sherman's question, mainly why should Britain help them? It is a French problem let them deal with it, why let in more people who hate the west? It would only multiply the numbers already in this country, who wish to do us harm. I would then have been bombarded with accusations of having no feelings, being an alarmist or just being being racist.

First off i'n not wrong because I never ever said they should be allowed in. Its even in my original question so I dont see how I can possibly be wrong on that. Also Flip Flop your pathetic argument that 20 odd posters agree with you on a site makes your argument correct is so unbelievably stupid I'm surprised you have the intellect to write it!
2nd I stand by that we have the power to help people and should! Consider yourself very lucky that you just so happened to be born on this island because other wise chances are statistically you would live in worse conditions but for a giant stroke of luck.
3rd Do none of you give to charity? Do you never seek to help people worse off? are you really that tight with money that you can't see fit to help people that are desperately poor and now don't even have anywhere to call home?
