There are a number of things you could try Marvinmoon, has it only started? do you use the same place to fuel up? try a fresh fuel filter, there may be water in the derv filter trap, Injectors?? take the car for a good run & give it full power to clear out any Crp within the system, add REDX into your fuel tank, about 1/2 the bottle to a full tank of derv.

ThanksTWR it started a couple off weks ago and is gradually getting more frequent ,but i will try your suggestions Many Thanks for the answers so far
Hi mate the most common fault is the fuel filter, they can be
faulty. my father had the same problem with is shogun.
he find out the filter had suck it self in and was get a dead spot now and then.

Just an idea,
Next time it loses power, try to pull over and park, remove filler cap and listen for air rushing in, mif you hear it, you have a blocked breather to your fuel tank, this would cause a vaccuum in your tank and make it difficult for the fuel pump to pull diesel through.
Better still remove fuel filler cap and cover with a peice of nylon stocking or similar, and run car as normal just to see iff fault occurs again.
Good luck.
